ADVANTAGES OF FREEZE DRYING FOOD
Freeze dried food retains its shape, color, fragrance, and flavor. And, as a bonus, it retains its nutritional value. Freeze dried food has small pores in it where the sublimated moisture migrated through it. This allows water to easily rehydrate it. Just add water and enjoy.

There are three factors that cause food to deteriorate: 1) heat, 2) water, and 3) oxygen. Freeze drying food and packaging it properly, allows for long term storage without deterioration (25 plus years).

Food that is preserved using other methods such as canning or dehydration, may lose 40-50% or even 60% of their nutritional value. Freeze dried food typically loses only 1-3% of its nutritional value. Plus, it looks and tastes comparable to fresh food.

The FC-R series utilizes radiant heating to evenly and efficiently provide heat during the drying cycle. Most food grade products will freeze dry in 16-24 hours.

These fully programmable freeze dryers use a 19 inch touch screen HMI to control time, temperature, and vacuum very
precisely.Our programming provides user access via the internet using phones and computers, as well as direct factory support.

Our FC-R units have a rapid load/unload trolley and cassette systems. Simply freeze your product in the food grade stainless steel trays in a walk-in freezer. Roll the trolley loaded with the cassette/tray system up to the machine, and slid the cassette into the product chamber. Loading and unloading takes just minutes.

Our larger FC-R units include continuous ice condenser defrost systems. While one condenser is collecting ice, the other one is being automatically defrosted. This system increases condenser efficiencies, as well as being labor saving.

Each of the FC-R 50, 100, 250, and 500 units are provided with a matching chiller to cool the industrial refrigeration systems.
